3 Bourbon Cocktails to Try This Halloween

Haunted Graveyard

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 4 orange slices
  • 4-6 splashes orange and grapefruit bitters 
  • 1 sprig rosemary
  • 1 cup ice
  •  large ice cubes
  • 2 sprigs rosemary

Directions: Pour the bourbon and maple syrup into a cocktail shaker. Add the ice, orange slices and sprig of rosemary. Shake well for at least 30 seconds. Add the ice to a short whisky glass and strain over the prepared cocktail. Garnish with a fresh stem of rosemary and use a kitchen blow torch or long match to set it on fire. Witches Brew

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz Bourbon
  • 1 oz Blood Orange Liquor
  • 1 oz POM Pomegranate Juice
  • 1/2 oz Lemon Juice
  • 4 oz Ginger Beer Chilled

Directions: Combine lemon juice, pomegranate juice, blood orange liquor, and bourbon in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously for a minute then pour over ice in a rocks glass or Halloween themed glass. Top off with ginger beer. Garnish with a fun Halloween cocktail pick. Halloween Old Fashioned

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces Bourbon
  • 10-12 dashes Dark Chocolate Bitters
  • 2 strips of orange peel
  • squeeze of fresh orange juice
  • 1 Amarena cherry or Luxardo cherry
  • 1 teaspoon cherry syrup (from cherries)
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup, optional
  • large ice cube
  • dry ice

Directions: In a heavy tumbler, muddle together orange peel and cherry. Add in bourbon, chocolate bitters, squeeze of orange juice, cherry syrup and simple syrup. Stir to combine and add one large ice cube. Stir to melt slightly and chill drink. Carefully drop in a small chunk of dry ice using a metal spoon. Garnish with additional cherry or orange zest if desired. Serve immediately. Recipe courtesy of Freutcake.
