As a party host, you want your guest to have a good time. That usually means there’s enough food, drinks and entertainment to keep your event going as long as you want it to go. If you’re organizing a football party, running out of food or alcohol is not an option… Such event would not only cause you more stress, but it could also make for some very cranky guests…

Since the Big Game is just around the corner, it’s time to start planning the best football party your guests have ever attended! Use these tips from Tri-State Liquors to ensure that your well doesn’t run dry!

How to Stock a Bar for a Football Party

  1. Get a good headcount of the number of guests you expect and round this number up a bit to accomodate any unexpected party crashers. You can always use leftovers as encouragement for 4 am stragglers to continue their party elsewhere!
  2. Take a peek at Tri-State Liquor’s Party Planning Table to get a rough idea of how much alcohol you should have for the number of guests you expect. For 50 people, expect to purchase many bottles of liquor, 3 bottles of red, white and zinfandel wine and a quarter keg of beer.
  3. Be aware of your guests! Take into consideration how much your friends like to drink and then adjust your stock accordingly!
  4. Don’t forget the mixers and garnishes! You’ll generally want 2-3 bottles of mixer per bottle of liquor. Keep in mind the strength of drinks your guests (or bartender!) are likely to make! Pick up some lemons, limes, cherrys and other garnishes.
